Indiana State University offers high quality education at affordable costs. For more than a hundred years, its name has been synonymous with high quality education. The university has been named as ‘one of the very best in the Midwest’ by the Princeton Review.
Located in Terre Haute, Indiana, the university campus covers over 140 acres in the heart of the city. Its campus is full of beautiful limestone and brick buildings, plazas, and laboratories. Indiana State University programs are designed to help students achieve excellence and become an expert in their chosen fields. It also has a school – the School of Graduate Studies. Its graduate program from the College of Education was rated among the ‘Top 100 Graduate Programs’ by the U.S. News & World Report recently. The university offers more than 100 majors including education, business, human resource development, music, criminology, and construction technology. It is the first public university in the Midwest to offer laptops for freshmen. As part of its Laptop Initiative, Indiana State offers Lenovo Thinkpad laptops to freshmen who have very good high school GPAs.
Indiana State University is home to over 10,000 fulltime and part time students. When you enter the university campus for the first time, the first thing that strikes you is the multicultural, cosmopolitan atmosphere of the campus. The university is highly diverse – nearly 3% of its students are international students. Nearly 18% of the students belong to minority communities like African American, Hispanic and Latino American, Native American, Asian American, and more. At present, the university is home to students from over 60 countries around the world.

The distance education program from Indiana State University offers a number of accredited courses and degrees which do not require you to visit the campus at all and can be done entirely via distance learning. There are some ‘distance friendly’ programs as well, but they require students to visit the campus once in a while.
